Robert Verburgt has 25 years of professional experience in shipping. He is responsible for Perseverance’s strategic direction and shipping sector focus. In addition to his involvement in Perseverance, Robert managed a syndicate of off-shore investors, which over the past fifteen years invested in reefer ships on a cyclical basis. He has purchased and sold nearly 60 ships since 1989. Robert was instrumental in the creation of the United Reefers fleet, and while serving as CEO of United Reefers Chartering Ltd, drove the fleet’s expansion to the position of third-largest reefer fleet in the world. Robert has served as a consultant and adviser, both formally and informally, to private shipowners and investor groups. He lives in The Netherlands.  

Eric Stevenson of Toronto, Canada. A venture capitalist, Eric represents a number of high net worth individuals and successful entrepreneurs who together comprise a major shareholding bloc in Perseverance. He is responsible for finance, investor relations and corporate governance. An MBA graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Eric worked for nearly a decade as an investment banker in London, England, latterly as a vice-president of corporate finance for Barclays Bank.
